- The Ministry of Tourism has included the destination of Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi in the Ramayana Circuit of Swadesh Darshan Scheme.
- The Punaura Dham has been included under the PRASHAD Scheme (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive) of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
- This was proposed by the State government of Bihar.
